From there, she started performing on stage in San Francisco, presenting her own unique brand of comedy.

Over the years, she has performed in clubs and theatres the world over.

She has worked extensively with fellow Ohioan, Bob Hope, in films and on many of his television specials.

She announced her retirement from performing at the age of 81.
